Kawarehe Kāinga Māori Open Day

In partnership with the Kawarehe Trust and alongside Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Awa, please join us to celebrate the opening of Kawarehe Kāinga - Stage One - offering 16 affordable rental housing options for whānau who are working and on a pathway toward home ownership. Stage One provides 2, 3, and 4 bed homes, providing tenants with financial advice, wraparound services and supportive papakāinga living.

Stage Two will provide a further 16 homes from mid-2027, and Stage Three has the potential for a further 25 homes.

More than a housing development, Kawarehe Kāinga represents a commitment to strengthening whānau, protecting Māori whenua and creating lasting social and economic outcomes for community.
